On International Day of Education 2025, Africa for SDGs, in collaboration with The Kenya Education Management Institute, hosted a thought-provoking seminar at Githunguri Jetview Primary School under the theme:

“Innovative Teaching Methods Leveraging Success Coaches in Online and Hybrid Learning.”

Led by our CEO, Dr. Joe Bonga, the seminar provided an opportunity for educators, policymakers, and community leaders to engage in meaningful discussions on how innovative teaching approaches can improve education accessibility and outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.

Key Focus Areas of the Seminar

The seminar explored:
Success Coaches in Education – How mentorship and personalized guidance can improve student engagement, learning outcomes, and retention.
Hybrid & Online Learning Models – Effective strategies to integrate technology into education while ensuring inclusivity.
The Role of Digital Tools – Leveraging interactive learning resources to enhance student experiences.
Bridging Educational Gaps – Addressing challenges such as lack of internet access, digital literacy, and teacher training in hybrid learning environments.

Why This Discussion Matters

Education is the foundation for sustainable development, and achieving SDG 4 (Quality Education for All) requires innovative, scalable, and inclusive solutions. Traditional teaching methods often fail to meet the needs of diverse learners, especially in marginalized communities. By integrating success coaches into learning models, we can provide students with structured support, motivation, and individualized learning experiences that lead to better academic performance and personal growth.

Insights & Takeaways

Throughout the seminar, participants shared valuable insights on:
📌 The impact of success coaching on student motivation and self-confidence.
📌 Strategies to effectively blend online and in-person learning in African classrooms.
📌 How technology can be used to complement traditional teaching methods.
📌 The importance of educator training and capacity-building for digital and hybrid learning.

Commitment to a Brighter Future

At Africa for SDGs, we are dedicated to ensuring that every learner, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality education. The seminar reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts between educators, institutions, and development partners to create a more inclusive and future-ready education system.
